Born in Tel-Aviv in 1932.
One of the major and most important Israeli artist. He brought a lot of respect to the Israeli art, and Israel itself, around the world.
He has won many important prizes and awards in Israel and around the world, won the Israel Prize for Sculpture (1995).
Took part at the Paris Biennale for young artists, and represented Israel at the Venice Biennale (1978).
Studies:
1947-1950 Avni Institute, with the sculptor Moshe Sternschuss.
1954 with the sculptor Rudi Lehman in Jerusalem.
1959-1960 Saint Martin's School of Art, and the Slade School of Art. Studied with Anthony Caro and Reg Butler. He joined a movement that was dealing with the laws of gravity, and gained international acclaim.
Lived in London and returned to Israel in 1972.
His works are placed in many public places and museums in Israel and around the world.
He has shown in dozens of important exhibitions in Israel and around the world.
